Jogging, sprinting, running… however you wish to call it. This popular sport is quite popular right now and many can’t live without this hobby.
There are many reasons why you should run, to relieve stress, clear the mind, lose weight and lower your cholesterol or simply get into shape. Whatever the reason, once you make room in your busy schedule, this practice can change your life!
How long before I see results?
There is no doubt about it; running is an exercise where you obtain fast results so you’re in luck. But don’t get overly confident, the results are notable at an early stage but are not immediate.
The most important factor is that you don’t despair or give up. The first effects you notice are probably psychological ones: an increased well-being and happiness due to a release of endorphins while you run (“happiness hormone”).
In order to notice fast physical effects, you must be constant. It’s normal that you don’t notice much change at first and feel somewhat fatigued. That’s perfectly normal! And lastly, what you need to do is space the days in-between your running training, in order to accustom the body and avoid putting too pressure on yourself so you give up instead of make running a hobby.
It may take you a while to get running at first, but remember that you don’t need to overexert yourself. Run at a normal rhythm, paused and continuous, and do this for 20 minutes. After this, you can try alternating jogging (walking fast) and running – soon you get used to it.
Be aware of what goes on, because maybe in a few weeks you turn into an addict runner!
- Be serious about what you are going to do, you need strong willpower so you don’t give up.
- Create an exercise table, where you detail clearly what days you are going to run.
- If you are a bit lazy, ask someone to run with you or join a running group that is so popular lately. Surely you can find many groups near big parks!
- Alternate running with exercises to strengthen the abdominal area.
In conclusion, and generally, the results for a more beautiful and healthy body, in addition to having a positive mind, come from running, and you don’t need to wait as long as with other types of exercises. The most visible will be the weight loss and toned muscles (especially the legs), but you must combine this with abdominal and aerobic exercises, and remember to always hydrate and have a balanced nutrition. You’ll see how you get hooked in no time at all.
